Plane crashes in Staffordshire - is it still the safest form of transport?
A light aircraft has crashed this evening in Staffordshire killing at least two people. The plane which crashed near colwich has also caused massive disruption to the West Coast mainline - the news is that there are massive delays from Euston train station with passenegers being advised to travel tomorrow if possible.
I wonder, Richard Branson has recently been getting invovled in the NHS and has said something along the lines of you are less likely to die in a plane crash than die of an infection in a hospital that you were not admitted with. He went on to say "the health service could learn a lot from the airline and rail industries on how to avoid mistakes. In the airline industry if we had that kind of track record we would have been grounded years ago,"
Now call me a cynic, and I do like flying but I have noticed a larger number of these small aircraft crashing lately.
Lets hope the airline industry continues to do all it can to ensure the safety of its passengers.
Untill tomorrow have a good evening!
